How I met Linder53

I met her through a teacher’s union offered class that dealt with Foundations in Education. She was at the table I sat with through the course, as it was higher grades, middle & high school teachers/people. I really enjoyed talking with her at the different Monday classes and it definitely helped the class pass by quicker than usual. She definitely has a sense of humor and intelligence. She’s very friendly and was helpful with things in and out of the course. I hope to continue our friendship outside of the class now as we both have an interest a certain area in Maine!

Why I like keramadera05

Kera is willing to do so much and experiment (safely!). It’s one of things I admire most about her. She has a pretty good head on her shoulders even those times when she’s up in the clouds. Her poetry is amazing and it’s hard to realize she’s almost 16 years old. It’s a joy to have her around and sad to see her go. Everyone loves her more then I think she knows.

Why I like wraiths82

I like her because she can listen to your problems, and not make you feel like an idiot. I alsolike her because, even though she is in her twenties, she acts like your 16 year old g/f that is ready to sit down with you and paint your toenails. She does have a very, very sick sense of humor, but it only makes you love her more. Even though she is my aunt, she feels like my sister.

A story about Theodore Roethke

She

I think the dead are tender. Shall we kiss? -
My lady laughs, delighting in what is.
If she but sighs, a bird puts out its tongue.
She makes space lonely with a lovely song.
She lilts a low soft language, and I hear
Down long sea-chambers of the inner ear.

We sing together; we sing mouth to mouth.
The garden is a river flowing south.
She cries out loud the soul’s own secret joy;
She dances, and the ground bears her away.
She knows the speech of light, and makes it plain
A lively thing can come to life again.

I feel her presence in the common day,
In that slow dark that widens every eye.
She moves as water moves, and comes to me,
Stayed by what was, and pulled by what would be.

That was a poem by this amazing American poet-Theodore Roethke. I read this in 11th grade Advanced English. I fell in love with his work. I know he’s dead but if there were some way to, I’d love to meet him.

A story about Adam West

Met him when I was about 11/13. I wasn’t impressed just as he didn’t seem very personable. Didn’t care if I were there or not, scribbled his name on my picture and moved me along. Like an assembly line. Not a great meeting….
